1. PreCleanse

If any skincare products or makeup was used it is important to pre-cleanse the face before cleansing. Removing the extra product on the face with a makeup wipe enhances the effectiveness of the other skincare products.

2. Cleanse

Using a facial cleanser instead of soap helps to maintain the PH balance of your skin. Facial cleansers help to keep skin alkaline making skin less prone to break-outs. The skin is able to breathe when leftover makeup, dirt and oil is removed.

3. Exfoliate

Free radicals, skin pollutants, and dead skin can build up over the course of the day. Remove dead skin and embedded dirt by exfoliating. This is an essential step for smoother, brighter skin.

4. Tone

Toner helps to close pores. Also, moist skin can better absorb topical products than dry skin. For skin that is prone to acne or excessive oil toner would be beneficial.

5. Serums

Add a serum for a specific skin concern that needs to be treated. Serums have a higher concentration of active ingredients. Various skin care concerns such as wrinkles, dehydration and sun spots can all be addressed with a serum.

6. Eye Cream

Use an eye cream for the delicate skin around the eyes. Eye creams are typically thicker than moisturizers. Plus, they are specifically formulated to address concerns around the eyes such as dark circles.

7. Moisturizer

Loss of moisture can cause an increase in oil production. Applying a moisturizer can protect the skin’s moisture barrier. Adding hydration back to the skin can bring the right amount of luminosity to your face.

8. SPF

Protect skin with a sunscreen. Sunscreen doesn’t penetrate the skin instead, it adds a protective layer for the skin to defend against harmful UV rays. An added bonus is that using sunscreen prevents wrinkles and dark spots.

9. Primer

Primer fills out fine lines and smooths uneven texture. It prepare skin for an even application of foundation and helps makeup stay fresh all day.

10. Foundation

Apply foundation to create uniform color to the complexion and cover flaws. Foundation is the base in which to build the entire makeup application on.
